****Note for self-employed people, bank looks at your net income. If you took in $100K of income and wrote off $80K of expenses, the bank only thinks you make $20K a year. I.E. if the house payment is $1,000 a month, your other debt is $1,000 a month, your net income needs to be $4,500 a month (house payment + other debt payments divided by your income can not be more than 45%) Please consult a loan officer before you file your tax return.****
