A bicultural, bilingual native of Los Angeles, California, and Puerto Rico, I hold a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts from Otis College of Art & Design in Los Angeles and postgraduate training in bespoke tailoring. I've worked with fashion, interior design and architecture pioneers, including Mara White, Judith Lance, LA Architect Magazine, Balcony Press, Escher Gunewardena, Studio Sofield West, assisted the John Lautner Foundation Archives, Dwell Magazine, the Vitra Foundation, mentored students at Sci-Arc, provided visiting artist lectures at UCLA, and prior to launching my independent fashion work and earning an undergraduate degree, I helped launched high end retail projects at South Coast Plaza and One Colorado, in Pasadena. I designed and distributed a women’s collection in my name, sold out by stockists across the US and Japan, including Ron Herman/ Fred Segal, Louis Boston, Steven Alan, Linda Dresner, and 18 locations of BEAMS across Japan. My fashion work has been profiled in such publications as W Magazine, People, Mademoiselle, Non-No, Spring, Hanatsubaki and more. Behind the scenes, I’ve dressed heroes and icons in music, film, design and art as well as creating inspired interiors for private workspaces and residential spaces in LA and NYC including the MaisonRe Mercantile in Glassell Park, designed and built with Bryony Atkinson, my frequent collaborator. Samples of my staging work can be seen in the Maisonre portfolio. I’ve provided dedicated merchandising + creative visual consulting for Maisonre since we opened up the Mercantile in July 2014. I consult from time to time with private clients of MaisonRe and beyond, assisting with remodeling, staging, space planning, and design, for space types ranging from retail to residential, and private to public. I believe that great design involves chemistry, collaboration and communication, and can inspire and facilitate living the lives we've always dreamed of.
I am also a performing artist and writer.
